Lawrence brings over fifteen years of both domestic and international experience
in healthcare operations and information technology. His functional expertise
includes operational improvement, technology consulting, and IT implementation.
Lawrence has worked extensively with the capital markets and has provided technology
development leadership while holding managerial positions with Oracle Corporation,
Wells Fargo & Co., Transamerica Corporation and The First National Bank of

Bill has 19 years of experience in financial operations
of healthcare organizations. Bill founded a contract
management company with business partners in 1991 and
coordinated its sale in 1997, remaining as the CFO.
He also has an extensive financial and operational
background in for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals,
sub-acute and long-term care facilities, ambulatory
centers, and managed care organizations. Bill’s
expertise includes joint ventures, financial turnarounds,
interim management, acquisition analyses, feasibility
studies, accounts receivable management, Medicare and
managed care reimbursement, productivity, strategic
planning and budgeting. Bill is a member of the Healthcare
Financial Management Association.

Carolyn is a Clinical Psychologist and Organizational Development
Consultant with over 20 years of experience working with
individuals, groups, and organizations. Her areas of expertise
include change management, behavioral health, communication,
leadership development, conflict resolution, and team-building.
She utilizes didactic and experiential methods, focus groups,
and one-on-one coaching to facilitate organizational change.
Carolyn’s background includes consulting with senior
management teams, department directors, and staff level
employees in acute / behavioral healthcare organizations
and other industries. Carolyn has also consulted with boards
of directors of non-profit and proprietary organizations
to define their cultures, develop long-range plans, and
enhance operational effectiveness. |

Mike has 20 years of experience in optimizing the operations
and processes of healthcare organizations. With The Lane
Group, he focuses on analyzing all aspects of hospital expense
management, most specifically staffing and supply chain optimization.
Prior to joining The Lane Group, he was President of his
own consultancy assisting healthcare organizations improve
their performance. He has extensive knowledge of process
improvement and expense management with hands-on operational
background in for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals, sub-acute
and long-term care facilities, ambulatory centers, and managed
care organizations. Mike’s expertise includes operations
and process improvement, joint ventures, acquisition analyses,
feasibility studies, productivity enhancement, supply chain
management, information systems, strategic planning and budgeting.

Kathy has a Managed Care Certification, a BS in Organizational
Management and has over 20 years of experience in healthcare
organizations. Her background includes extensive experience
in patient accounts management and managed care strategy
development and implementation. She is a skilled managed
care contract negotiator and has worked with various healthcare
settings, including acute care, ambulatory surgery, outpatient,
behavioral health, dental, and skilled nursing facilities.
Kathy has also worked in collaboration with physicians
and a PHO to effect contract terms and rates of reimbursement
that addressed the financial and network needs of the parties
involved. Her strengths include the development of strong,
open relationships with physicians, third party payers
and managed care organizations.

Ken has over 20 years of healthcare management experience in
hospital operations, strategic planning, marketing, new service
development, and physician recruitment/relations. His most recent
position was as the senior operations officer of a 300-bed healthcare
system in the Southeast. Ken's areas of expertise include
productivity enhancement through process improvement, management
reorganization for streamlined decision-making, financial performance
initiatives, clinical outcomes improvement, customer service
programming, and physician recruitment. With The Lane Group,
Ken focuses on strategic development, interim management, medical
staff integration, and service line feasibility and implementation.

Elizabeth is a healthcare clinician with over 10 years of
healthcare experience in intensive care nursing and respiratory
therapy. Elizabeth’s most recent clinical experience
was with Duke University Hospital, where she worked on
every intensive care unit (cardiology, trauma, neurology,
and oncology) as well as coordinated the care of heart
and lung transplant patients. Prior to joining Duke,
Elizabeth was a mental health coordinator at John Umstead
Hospital where she led counseling sessions and developed
detailed treatment plans for patients. She also served
on the EMT team providing emergency response and transport
to the facility. Elizabeth is a registered nurse and respiratory
therapist, and is ACLS, PICC, and EMT certified.

over 25 years in medicine and information services, Peter
has held leadership positions in the provider, vendor, and
consulting environments with responsibilities for business
development, strategic and tactical business planning, business
operation and turnaround, large-scale systems development,
and systems integration. He has developed, implemented, managed,
and consulted with a wide range of healthcare systems in
North America and Europe targeting clinical, financial, administrative,
managed care, and consumer-oriented areas. His work has
covered a cross-section of the healthcare industry addressing
the needs of physicians, clinics, hospitals, pharmaceutical
companies, utilization review firms, insurers, integrated
delivery networks, disease management companies, employers,
and consumers. Peter has served as CIO, CTO, and General
Manager of healthcare and technology organizations.

Joan is a Certified Case Manager with 30 years of healthcare
experience in clinical resource management including outcomes
/ case management, quality / risk management, administration,
compliance plans, and education of healthcare personnel at all
levels. She has worked extensively with physicians and their
office managers and is certified in physician practice management.
She is also a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant. Joan has provided
consulting services to many hospitals and managed care organizations
on a national level and presented seminars for physicians on
regulations, practice guidelines and system approaches for satisfying
regulatory issues and conserving revenue under managed care contracts.
Joan has served as corporate leader of Clinical Resource Management,
hospital COO and CNO, and interim director of multiple turnaround
engagements.
